Its clear the the banking crisis, credit crunch and resulting recession has hit the Spanish property market hard, with prices tumbling by up to 35% in certain regions. New building has ground to a halt. Now though, banks are extending credit to developers to complete stalled developments and there are signs that the market could be starting to recover, states a recent article in the daily El Pais newspaper. While its impossible to say when Spanish house prices will start to rise, it could be that now is the best time to pick up a Spanish house bargain. |
